Not too sure about how many out of the 6 who got their visas had hired migration lawyers, but all of those WERE paper applications.
The online applicants HAVE been facing delays because the high commission's system's are facing some difficulties which is causing issues in the processing. And I don't think AHC has many case officer's who know how to operate or process the online applications, that could also be a part of the issue. Maybe they are training the case officer's on how to process them I'm not very sure about what's going on, this is all just a guess. I will keep the thread updated though when I get some news.

Having a migration lawyer depends on the applicant/sponsor. Most of the straightforward cases don't need lawyers and so not many people hire one.
But if the applicant thinks there are complications in their application, then migration lawyers CAN work wonders especially if there are any medical complications and/or previous denials.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Oh man, every time I think there is something that will go our way ... whammo! We are online and we have a Migration Agent (because we figured we didn't want to risk anything going wrong if we did ourselves and "wasted" all this time). I am praying that something goes our way sooner ...

Don't worry Sonakshi, things like these are not under anyone's control and neither can someone predict them. Leave it all in the hands of the Almighty and pray for the best. I'm sure the good news will come your way when it's destined to. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

You know that's me! THANK YOU for the continued updates. I know there is no rhyme or reason, it is what it is, but all this does give hope. Let me work that out to see how we fare in the processing time now .... Much thanks

... For any chance of him being here for Christmas, we need to go to the final queue by 30th October. That's what I am concentrating on. Going to be damn sure all our additional information is ready now. So there wont be any delays at all once the case worker requests - straight to the agent, thanks for playing

I SO hope they don't think anything crazy because of our age difference ...

Oh geez, now the nerves will kick in ....

Congratulation to the applicant.
Thanks Becky for the update. When we hear a patner visa was granted to an applicant, regardless of the AHC granted, our energy is increased, our heart becomes warmed and our hope seems to be more realistic than ever.

Wish sucess to all separeted loved ones and a quick re-unification with their partners.

Hassan
