No I haven't applied for an exemption yet, if you mean the COVID-19 exemption.

I didnt apply for any exemptions for biometrics either. I was just waiting for approx 7 days after lodgement and was going to ring them stating that the biometrics centers are closed in my country and if I could be waived off from the biometrics.

They gave the visa on the 6th day of application.

I must stress on the fact that the Invitation letter would have to be pretty strong. Strong in the sense that you have to be pretty detailed on why the applicant needs to be in Australia and what is assuring their return. During the pandemic it is very hard to convince the Deparment that the applicant is primarily here for "touristy" stuff as there isnt much travel around so it would either have to be visiting family and for going around if/when it re-opens. I believe that was critical on my application but cannot tell anything with certainty as there could be other factors which I'm not aware of.

I applied for a tourist scheme, multiple entry, 6 months . The only conditions are no study and no work.

Your signature says you did the Biometrics on 6 January 2020 for the 309. They probably used that, if they thought it was needed.

When we did the original 12 months 600 visa, after our 300 application, they used medicals etc., from the 300 application.

Hi,

My partner is onshore. She received an email asking her to leave Australia so that a decision is made on the Partner Visa. Under current circumstances due to COVID-19, it's not possible to travel to any country and return back.

We notified the case officer, and he has put her application on hold.

Please let me know if anyone else has been asked to exit Australia for processing of 309?

What are your travel plans?

Did anyone request to waive off the 'applicant needs to be outside Australia' condition whilst 309 is granted?
