Congrats! that is awesome.

How did you get it processed so quickly? There are surely many people who lodged as early as May 2019 still waiting.

My husband finally received his 309 Visa! We have been waiting so long!

I’ve looked on this site so many times while we were waiting so I wanted to share our story to give others hope.

• 8th May 2019- we applied for the 309 visa
• 9th October 2020- automated email requesting more information to be submitted within 28 days
• 13th November 2020- A case officer rang my husband for an interview then rang me straight after
• 19th November 2020- automated email to say our application is in process
• 20th November 2020- visa granted!

We have been married since January 2019 & we have 1 child who was born December 2019. My husband has not met our son yet as we were refused 2 visitor visas while we waited for the 309.

Now we just need to get a flight that doesn’t cost $20k and doesn’t get cancelled!

Good luck everyone! I hope you all get your visas granted soon too!
