Hi Becky,

I have to say, that was such a wonderful and one of the most useful posts so far.
Thanks a lot of putting so much of effort into bringing up something like this. Really appreciate it.

I do have one query though regarding the Police clearance certificate.
I have applied for Australian partner visa ONLINE. Any idea if original hard copies of any specific document needs to be submitted?

I did read the IMMI-checklist, where in which was mentioned that, "You must provide certified copies of original documents. Do not include original documents unless we specifically ask for them."

But then again, the same page stated for the Police Clearance Certificate that "Provide the original certificates and keep a copy for yourself.".

Should I be submitting the original PCC or the certified copy ?

Thanks in advance,
Sreedevi

Hey Sreedevi,

Welcome to the Forum
Thank you for taking time out to read my posts and your kind words

Regarding your query:- In most online cases from India that I've come across, the applicants upload a scan of their original PCC. Sometimes the case officers are satisfied with that but recently, many of applicants have been requested to also upload a notarized colored copy of the original PCC, not sure why.

So I always advise applicants to have a colored notarized copy of their PCC ready/handy so in case if the case officer does happen to request for it, they can then without any delay/wait quickly upload and that way the case officer has everything they need to make the decision when they are ready.

Supplying the original PCC is more for the paper applicants. I had to provide original copies of both my Australian and Indian PCC to the case officer which I sent via VFS. I had also emailed a scanned copy of it.

Hope this helps. Please do ask if you have more questions
Good Luck!!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Yaaay!!!
Many Congratulations Ravinder!!! So happy for you and your partner
That was a very quick grant, do you mind sharing your case officer's initials please? Thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing such a wonderful news with us
I hope you have a wonderful life together with your partner in Australia

Very happy to know my information helped you. I'm sure you must be happy about calling your case officer, that way you at least found out that she didn't receive one email, and as soon as you sent her the last piece of evidence, tadaaa you got the visa approved

Thanks so much for the invitation Very kind of you, my husband is from Melbourne too
Take Care! Wish your partner safe and fun travels.

Best Wishes,
Becky
