Hey Deepika,

Apologies for the late reply. Have been super busy with work that's why I haven't been online much.

As per current trends of AHC New Delhi, they are taking between 38-40 weeks since date of application to allocate case officer. So don't worry. It is normal having to wait for this long. And as Sobakshi said, online applications are taking a bit longer to process compared to the paper ones. No clue why.

You won't have to wait for very long though. Hopefully the good news is not too far away.
Hope this helps. Please do keep us updated.
Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

I had applied for a partner visa subclass 309/100 for my spouse on the 21 - 3 - 2014 which i had submitted on-line as you can see it been more than 10 months and there is no sign of any communication from the AHC. After reading many threads people applying in march have been allocated case officers, just wondering why is that and how come they haven't looked into end of march as of yet. Any attempt to get in touch with the AHC via email or telephone is of no avail. Apart from the automated reply any information would be highly appreciated Thank you
Hey Sunil,

As I mentioned in my post to Deepika, online applications are taking a bit longer to process but hopefully things won't take too long since you have already been waiting for 10 months.

Regarding medicals- when were you given a HAP ID? Usually the high commission contacts the applicant not too long after the application Is submitted with the HAP ID and requests them to undergo all the required tests. The applicant waits for 9-10 months for case officer allocation from the date of application.

This is so the case officer doesn't have to wait for the medicals to get processed and that all the paperwork is on his/her desk when one is assigned to an application.

If you already have have a HAP ID, you should get the medicals done ASAP! Don't wait for the case officer allocation, that'll waste more of your time.

Hope this helps. Please do ask if you have more questions. Good luck.
Kindly do keep us updated!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hi Becky,

Thanks once again for ur info,
The HAPID was created i think when i submitted the application online itself and with my previous experience with the DIBP i was asked to do my medicals after a CO was allocated but i think in Australia the online applications get processed faster than the paper ones, the whole process is so frustrating

Frustrated

Hi, I am on this forum as I am trying to work out what is going on with my Sister in laws visa
Application Submitted on: 29.04.14
PCC Submitted: 29.04.14
Medicals Submitted: 15.06.14
Marriage Certificate Submitted: 29.11.14

every time I call they keep saying its still under process and that its still in the allocated time frame 9 to 12 months. We know people who have had there visa granted or case officers allocated, but we have not had any of the above. ANy one else in the same boat?

Any help would be appreciated

Apply for tourist visa after applying 309 Offshore visa

Hi,

This is great forum and have lot of good information and I was a silent reader ang got lot of information.

I have applied for 309 offshore visa last week online. Looking at visa wait timing, seems to be a long road, planning to apply for tourist visa for my wife, here are my questions:

1. Can I apply for tourist visa 600 family sponsor for my wife and how long do I get the tourist visa for 3 month or 6monhts..?? provided my wife is house wife and not working and has no significant assets in india to show incentive to return back proof, but I am PR and living in sydney for past 1 and half year and has good salary to provide any bond for the visa..

2. If my wife gets tourist visa for 6 months and she flies to Sydney and case officer request for medicals & pcc, Can we do that medicals and pcc from sydney for my wife while she is on tourist visa here?

Applied partner visa for my wife , Chennai: 16/01/2015

Hey Sunil,

Thanks for your reply and apologies for my late reply. That's great! Your wife can go for her Medicals. After that she'll have to wait to hear back from AHC. Case officer allocation is taking about 9-10 months since the date of application as per current trends.

You can track your medicals on the eMedical portal with the HAP ID date of birth and name of the applicant I think. The link to the portal is mentioned in my first post on the thread. This is so you track whether or not your medicals have been submitted to AHC. If you've already done all this, ignore my post then

Thanks for keeping us updated and good luck! Have a nice weekend!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hey Simmih,

Apologies for the late reply. I can understand your frustration when AHC gives such a vague answer. They give this answer to majority of the applicants because the operators themselves don't have a clue as to what's happening with the applications. They tell the applicant what they see on their computer's database when they pull up your details.

As per their current trends, case officer allocation is taking about 9-10 months from the date of application. AHC is currently processing applications lodged in March and April 2014 so things shouldn't be taking too long hopefully. If you've applied online, that could be a reason why things might be taking long.

Online applications have been taking longer to get processed compared to the paper applications, no clue why. They should be processed faster.

Quick question- you mentioned you've been calling AHC to get an update for your sister in laws partner visa application. Are you listed as a person with whom AHC can communicate regarding the application?

If not- they might not tell you anything. Usually AHC would communicate with the applicant, the sponsor or the migration agent the applicant has hired via email or phone calls.

Hope this helps and wish your sister in law a speedy grant. Please do ask if you have more question.
Good luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hi Archu,

Sorry for changing the context, wish you all the best, mean time, Could you please let me know the procedure you followed for tourist visa for 6 months for Australia. I am planning to apply for my tourist visa but puzzled with questions how to apply whether to go for 600 family stream or tourist stream and also whether to apply for 3months or 6 months??. If you could share the details on applying for visitor visa for wife after applying offshore partner visa 309 that will be great.. Thank you.
