Hey TheCoolKoala,

Sounds familiar to me. During my PR application, I had only 2 emails from my CO. One for the allocation and another one for the grant. :D

Let's hope that's the case for the Partner visas as well

Partner visa applications are much more complicated (in terms of the cumbersome paperwork) and nerve wrecking compared to any other visa from what I've learnt.

We can all definitely hope for a quick and simple processing. Good Luck to all waiting.

Becky

Hey Guys,

Came across this link shared by a member on another immigration forum. This is the reason why things are made so much more complicated for us:-
Visa fraud suspects fled after wiring $1m overseas

I seems like these people don't think they'll ever get caught. One of the accused used to work for DIAC (now DIBP):mad::mad::mad:

I really hope they get caught and imprisoned for life for not only scamming the Australian government but also for the people who they scammed.

Kind Regards,
Becky

Thanks Becky for the constant update.

Actually, it is bad in life to hear bad news and stress every now and then. Your follow up of the applications in India, and the subsequent update of the applications are great relief for all of us waiting for visas.

Best wishes to you Becky for your committment to the applicants.
We wish yours will follow the same very soon and Granted to you the visa.

Hassan

Thanks for your kind words Hassan :)
Yeah, it's kind of a motivator for people who are reading this thread from India to have patience and know that their good news will is not far away.

There have been 8 visas granted on the Indian partner visa thread this week (Tuesday- Friday, Monday was a public holiday here) so all the members are happy and excited.
Good Luck to all waiting!

Kind Regards,
Becky

What a Month!

Hey Guys!

Hope everyone is doing well. I thought I should share this happy news since the last working day of August 2014 is over :) I have both good and bad news :p:p

GOOD NEWS first :D :-
AHC New Delhi granted 25 visas this month on the thread for "Partner 309/100 Visa application submitted to AHC New Delhi". That has been the highest number of visas granted in a month for the calendar year of 2014.

Another happy news is that the waiting period between date of queue (DOQ) and date of visa grant has decreased to 35-45 days since DOQ.

NOT SO GOOD NEWS :( :-
AHC New Delhi's website was updated today and the case officer allocation time frame has increased from 30-31 weeks since date of application to 35-36 weeks :(:(
Below is the link from AHC New Delhi website:-
http://www.india.embassy.gov.au/ndli/vm_processing.html

Hoping for a better numbers of grants in September. Good Luck to all waiting.

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hello Everyone,

I need urgent help regarding my carer visa (sub class 116) application which I lodged back in June 2013 at New Delhi AHC. I received an email in October that the visa officer has been assigned and I have to attend interview with my spouse in the same month which went good.
The email also says the name of the visa officer who interviewed us and about the processing time that they are working to finalize most applications within 9 months where all documents are provided.
The mail also says that the preliminary assessment has been done and he requires more documents from Australia which I provided in November 2013 after my interview.

Since then I have never heard anything back from the department.
I am confused as this category is under capping and queue and I do not know what my queue date would be.

I regularly go through lot of post from this forum and I feel there are lot of experienced people here who can suggest something and help me to understand about the queue time.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Paul
