Yes the Department is notorious for being anything but forthcoming. We all wonder what mechanism they have in place...

Confirm this with your case officer, the forum won't be able to advise you whether you need Indian, Australian or both.

Regarding how to get your Indian pcc, how did you get the first one? The process would typically be the same.

Good luck!

thanks alot milli.
i really appriciate your reply.
i was in big doubt weather Indian one is still valid or not.
I already have applied my Aus one and AFP have sent me mail stating that they have sent it through and i will get it in couple of days may be.
Do you guys know If CO asks PCC or stuff like that, does it mean some good news might be coming or they may still take more time.??
thanks in advance

NeceSsarily doesnt mean good news but definitly in final processing. Within one or two months you can hear about decision if you hve provided everything apart from PCC

Thanks TigerAli.
Yes i have already provided all the necessary docs., I think PCC was the only thing which was out of date by now(I had it in old dates which i just added with my file from India).
Do you guys recon there might not be anything left as if there was anything left, then case officer would have asked for.? or he/she may still have to have a brief look at my file to see if there is anything left.?
I wish all the best of luck to those people who have been away from their families like me.
