Hi hisham,

I know exactly what you're going through but unfortunately there are only compassionate reasons on the grounds of which you could quicken this process and depression isn't one of them.

My husband was the same. We were apart for close to 12 months. So I know what you and your partner are going though.

And worse is that there is no particular definition of what is classified as compassionate reasons anywhere on the DIBP website. Everything is in the hands of your case officer. And that is what they take advantage of.
At least mine did....

At the time when I was waiting for my visa, pregnant applicants would get their visa in like 6 months while I had to wait for 16 months to get mine. Being pregnant was a compassionate reason but only for AHC in India.

No other country would approve any application just because the applicant was pregnant. Although I don't know if this is still happening.

I know it might sound very mean but I don't think it was fair, pregnant applicants to get their visa approved just cause they were pregnant while the ones who weren't were waiting for 10-12 months for their visa.

Anyways! Maybe if you could take her to India for a trip. My husband and I were living with my parents for 6 months until 2 days before his visa was expiring when he came back to Australia. Might help the situation a little bit.

Hope this helps. Keep praying and things will get better, easier and time will fly away.
This too will pass.
Good Luck!!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hi,

I have few questions with respect to my partner visa application. I filled my application in Nov 2014, and still awaiting " assessment in progress ". My questions are:-

1) since my husband is staying in Australia and me in India. Do I have to submit Evidence of couples are living together. If yes, what shall I submit?

2) my police verification is done. Do I still have to submit Form 1221 and Form 80 in my application.

3) what is Visa status in country of residence, Evidence of....what can be submitted in this category?

4) My husband is an Australian PR, does he need to evidence of character i.e. police clearance certificate

Please help and advice

Regards,
Neha

--if u r living apart how can u show u r living together, just make sure to keep a record of ur conversation either its a voice call, viber, wattsapp or whatever.
--if ur in India, u need to have your form 80 filled, its a must.
--you and your husband still gonna be citizens of india, unless he attains its OZ citizenship by grant n later you.
--no your husband doesn't need to have a PCC or NPC

Hi Neha,

Just to add to the information gm6 provided:-

2.I only susbmitted form 80. Later on I did see quite a few applicants submitting form 1221, but I wasn't asked for it.

4.The sponsor only needs a NPC if there is a minor included in the visa application. If there isn't, then only the applicant needs a PCC from every country he/she has spent a period of 12 months or over in the last 10 years.

Hope this helpss. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Australian Federal police Check

Hi guys,

My wife's DOL is 13/11/14 offshore New Delhi....She has been in Australia since Feb15 on visitor visa..planning to go back to India in Sep 15 unless her visa is finalized before that.

My question is that should we get her AFP check done for her spouse Visa since she has been in Australia for a while? Her PCC has been already done and submitted in Dec14.

Thanks
