I have not applied yet as I am waiting for documents sent by my wife from Brisbane. But everything else are in tact and ready, and even the form is filled in advance. Eagerly waiting for the supporting documents from Aus which I will probably get within this week.

I will go for the normal visitor visa, and in case rejected, I will immediately face the other option-Family Sponsored visa.
Will keep you in the loop Becky

Good luck for all of us.
Hassan
Yeah, please do keep us updated

Wish you all the very best and I hope you get your visitor visa approved in the first shot and can wait with your family while a decision is made on your partner visa application and hopefully that decision will be happy-decision
Good luck! Praying for you

Kind Regards,
Becky

That's awesome news - if we were to work the same theory then PERHAPS he will be here for New Year, possibly Christmas.

After reading on here about checking the medical status, I did and my partners medical was marked as incomplete, told the migration agent and he told us to call the hospital so partner has to go back and finish. Hoping this wont impact our application too much ...

Will prepare more chat and the next visit to add as updated information so we can forward it as soon as requested.

Fingers crossed .... Thanks Becky for the continued updates!

No worries Sonakshi, happy to help
Yeah, make sure you keep collecting the documents the whole time you're waiting for a case officer as most of the times updated evidence is requested.

The medicals conducted in India (the cases with no medical issues) get submitted to DIBP between 5-10 working days. Mine took 7 working days so if your application isn't nearing the case officer allocation time frame, the medicals shouldn't have any affect on the processing.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!!
Please do keep us updated

Kind Regards,
Becky

Arrow UPDATE:- Indian PCC Finally Submitted to VFS New Delhi

Hey Guys,

Hope everyone is doing well.
Finally after 4 months of my case officer's request for a new Indian PCC, I applied for one today (paid the fees in cash) and was issued 2 copies of it within 2 hours of application; as quite a few of the seniors suggested the procedure would take place
Very relieved and feeling a bit relaxed after going through 4 months of non-stop intense stressful situation

So now all the documents that the case officer requested me for:-
1. Certified copy of my re-issued passport;
2. Indian PCC issued by the Regional Passport Office, Ghaziabad;
3. Form 922- Change of Passport details/Change of Address; and
4. Additional Documents like proof of communication, proof of financial support, social context of the relationship (this was not requested by the case officer but I sent all this on my own as it had been 5 months since I submitted my last set of additional documents in April 2014).
All the paperwork was submitted to VFS New Delhi this afternoon and they advised me that the documents will be submitted to AHC between 24-48 hours of submission.

Hoping and praying that my visa is granted soon. Will keep you updated.
Have a great weekend!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Next couple of Weeks, if not the first week, will be a turning point for you and for us all, as we expect a great news from your end on this forum.

I pray to God that your visa grant will be soon without any more delay.

Wish you a happy life ahead with your partner.

Kind regards,
Hassan

Dear Friends,

The below quote is from the Australian High Commission, New Delhi, India website.
It is about the Tourist Visa current processing times. You may confirm this from this Link: http://www.india.embassy.gov.au/ndli/09012013.html

What a progress the AHC New Delhi is making. Nairobi AHC is making no change on its website and almost all the information are outdated.

I am out off the topic meant for this page, I know, but still involves New Delhi's AHC.

Regards,
Hassan

The visa office at the Australian High Commission, New Delhi is currently experiencing a very high volume of Visitor visa lodgements from applicants wishing to travel to Australia from India. As a result, visa processing times are taking longer than usual.

Visitor visa applications are currently taking up to 15 working days to be processed.

On Friday, 19 September 2014, we are processing tourist applications lodged on:

• 17 September 2014

We will update this website daily with current processing timeframes.

I'm losing my mind right now. Been busy preparing hopefully the final set of additional documents to submit along with the PCC as I received my updated passport yesterday evening. I'm planning to apply for the PCC in a couple of days. Have slept 4 hours in the past 2 days; I'm losing my mind trying to think if I missed out anything that I could use as evidence, thank GOD for Redbull!! haha!

Your understanding is absolutely correct
Thank you for the correction Hassan

As per the latest trends of AHC New Delhi (from the last 2 weeks) they seem to be approving visas on the same day a case officer is allocated to a file (35-36 weeks/9 months after application). I didn't post this update till now because this is very new and I want to be sure of the processing method that AHC will opt for has definitely changed before I post an update on the thread.

So far 3 applicants from January 2014 have been granted their visa straightaway as soon as they were allocated a case officer.
This is a great news but still too early to be sure whether or not this change is permanent or just a temporary thing.

Hope this helps. I apologise about the confusion.
Good Luck!!

Kind Regards,
Becky
Thanks Becky/Hassan for the response. I got my case officer on thursday after a long wait (34 weeks). I was in Australia on tourist visa. Just got back from there and hopefully good news will come soon

Thanks Becky ... that information is SO encouraging! I have noted down and done comparison dates for our case, just to show my partner when I see him on Monday night in Delhi. SO exciting ... yes, aware it is just a gauge but at least it gives us some hope for New Year together. (And gives me a time frame to make sure I lose some serious weight for his arrival into Australia

Appreciate you!

Hey sandeep,

No worries, happy to help
That's Great News!!Good move, you returning to India after you got your case officer. Things shouldn't take very long now. The case officer will send your application to the final queue or maybe even grant it without a long wait.

Ohh!! I'm so excited for you
Good Luck! and please do share the good news with us.

Kind Regards,
Becky
