I have seen on the immi website that you are eligible to be granted 100 straight away if you have been in a relationship for 3 years - does this been 3 years as a de facto or married couple? Or just being in a relationship in general? Thanks
It has to specifically be as a de facto couple or married, not just in a relationship, unfortunately.

EDIT: Sorry, missed that Becky had already answered this for you.

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum. I lodged my partner visa on 3rd nov 2014 via online application. I am still wondering and dont know whether case officer is assigned or not to my case. My immiaccount shows the status of " assessment in progress" since may 2015. My case is simple one,we got married in oct 2014 and my husband left for australia in december 2014, also i havent applied for visitor visa and is waiting for my partner visa to be granted soon. Can anyone tell me how much time does it take to finally grant partner visa? does it actually take standard processing time of 11-12 months as given on AHC website. Its been 9 months now since I lodged my application, is it a good time to call AHC or should I wait for a call from them.Pls guide.

Hi Soniat,
I understand what you are going through. In our case it took 12 months. Hang in there, you should hear from the case officer in the next couple of months at the latest. You could get your medicals done now as they are valid for 12 months.
We applied for tourist visa straight after applying for partner visa to stay in australia for 3 months.

Details of Spouse Visa application are as follows:
Application online via migration agent: 22 July 2014
Indian PCC Date : 20 July 2014
Medicals completed: April 2015
Case Officer Allocation Date : Not known (as it does not appear online) Online status still appeared as "Assessment in progress"
Phone Interview of sponsor only : 17/07/2015 (almost 1 year since application date)
The case officer (CO) was very nice and asked a few (5-6) brief questions only. CO advised that an email will be sent if any other documents are required, otherwise a decision can be made by the next week.
No additional documents asked.
Visa Grant Date: 29/7/2015 (1.5 weeks after interview). Grant letter received.Online Application status changed to state 'Finalised'

All the best! Hope you hear from the case officer very soon.

Regards,
Apmel

Hi Apmel,

Thank you so much for replying. I have already completed my medicals on 12th Nov 2014, also have submitted PCC on 17th Nov 2014. I have submitted all the required documents and nothing remains to be submitted. Still, I dont know why AHC takes so long to process the application. We have also sent an email to AHC, but no reply from them.

Hi Soniat,

Unfortunately, whether you have submitted all documents or not does not make a difference, your application is still in a queue. It is good that you have submitted all required documentation so that when the case officer reads the file, he or she can make decision easily and quickly (which was the case with us). Our file was only touched 12 months after application date. We had all documents submitted before case officer was allocated. Our agent told us that there was no use following up before case officer was allocated as only an automated email response will be received. Sitting and waiting can be difficult however just know that it is not too far off now. May you receive good news very soon.

Regards,
Apmel

Hi Apmel,
My dol is 14 may 2014.
I was allocated the CO on 20 july. Sent the documents on 21july. Asked the Co after 10 days if they got the documents. They just asked for the PCC. Now it has been 10 days and we are waiting.
Anyone know by their experience what is the next stage and what should we expect next?
Waitng

Yes I was refused partner visa because of schedule 3 criteria. So I had to apply off shore.
But should the CO take this long after getting the documents which they asked for? More than 3 weeks now.
