Your visitor visa should not be effected by your previous visa refusal.

The big challenge for you now is to fulfill the visitor visa requirements and satisfy the CO that you are a genuine visitor.

Most cases where a partner visa is in progress, the visitor visa is a no brainier but everyone's luck is different.

All the best!

Hi Lonewolf,

I just had a Tourist Visa refused because of a previous cancelled student visa. You probably have a 3 year ban which means you can't apply for any temporary visas for this period of time. Don't waste your time and money.

One should well and truly know when they have been banned to apply for any temporary visa. If this was the case, why did you apply for the visitor visa? Did you forget?

Firstly, why do you care?

Secondly, you can get the 3 year ban waived if you show them compelling reasons. I knew I had very slim chances of getting the tourist visa granted but after being away from my husband for almost a year I decided to take my chances.

Firstly, why so defensive and aggressive?
Secondly, I'm sorry that your case was not compelling enough to warrant a tourist visa. It might benefit you to consulate an RMA to assist with your application.

Hope you find peace!

Maybe if you didn't sound so ironic I wouldn't have to be.

I hope you stop being so nosy on your comments.
