Guys!
Kindly please try to keep the comments to the point and constructive. This visa situation is already frustrating enough, no use adding to that frustration.
If you don't have something to post that might help others here, please refrain from posting.

Thanks for your consideration.

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hey maldee,

I received an invitation from immigration them letting me know I could apply for subclass 100 about 2 months before my eligibility date.

I submitted my application 2 weeks after my eligibility date and it's been 2 weeks since the submission but I have heard not heard anything from them. Not even an acknowledgement.
I'm trying not to over think things seeing the trends on this forum. Some people never even got an email and got the grant directly.
But I might call them sometime this week to check if they got my application since it was sent as internal mail from the DIBP office in Brisbane.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hey Harper,

The processing time is usually standard for all technically. I'm guessing that's only to not confuse the applicants.

But the complex cases need to looked at into a lot more detail and require more evidence to prove they are genuine if they have a rejected visa application on their record.
My visa took close to 16 months to approve.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Thanks for your response Becky.

I've only had a cancelled student visa but I never overstayed any previous visas. Hopefully this won't make my case too complex.

Good luck with the second stage of your visa!

Hi Guys,
Would really helpful if someone could help me with questions i have regarding the 309 visa process
I have a 190 visa and will be moving to aus in november. I've been married for 2 years and she was not part of the visa and now i need to apply for 309 visa. I am planning to do so once i arrive in australia and get a couple of pay slips to show i am working in australia.

My concern is really around giving proof for "Evidence that your relationship is genuine."
She has worked for only 3 months in the last two years. So she does not have any correspondence like letters or bank statements etc
let me start with that i have
i know that i have to provide statement regarding our relationship and provide stat declaration. I can provide the lease agreement, joint travel tickets, and pics with relatives. Can also provide skype, gtalk history etc

I am not sure whether these are enough. It will be of great help if someone in similar situation can provide what all documents they have submitted for supporting their relationship.

Thanks,
jesi

Also is it advisable to take the police clearance and medical before co asks. Is it even possible to do medical befor co is assigned. I hav experiance doing medical for 190 visa and in that they send the medical report directly to immigration.. is it the case for 309?.. wat is the best way to handle it..
