So Character Document for Sponsor is PCC, My wife received email to submit two Character document from Sponsor, one from AFP and other Indian PCC, Currently i am in india for short trip so i thought I will apply PCC in India itself but RPO send the file for verification, now I do not know how many days it will take for verification to get complete and I have to return back to Australia this weekend, Now my question is whether I can apply again in Australia if the verification can't complete on time or there will be issues.

it's only for big cities that online PCC can be done in 1-5 days but in small cities and town it's still paper work process and it takes 2-4 week time, every district has SP office and all the document goes there and get distributed to local town DSP office and then to regional town all through paper work trail, once verification is done it's same in back order but it's updated in SP office and then passport seva send SMS to come and pick up PCC.

Hi All

Applied: Vfs Global Office (24th Feburay 2015) (Paper)
Visa Applied: Visa 309/Subclass 100
Application Received by AHC: 9th March 2015
Medical: 23/12/2014
Pcc: 21/12/2014
Case Officer Allocation: Not yet

No contact at all, it has been 8 Months.
My Husband just visited me in India and we went to Australian High Commission New Delhi to check on status through gate no. 3 I think they said this is for foriegn Affairs, and said we should try visa processing on gate no. 2 and the guard was super rude. And they said they can't see us without an appointment and wont speak with anyone without an appointment, we did try to call them as well.
So, My questions are:

1. How long does this visa processing takes?
2. Can I travel on tourist Visa?/ My medical and pcc is going to get expired in December and I am planning to travel in Feburary 2016 on tourist Visa, do I need to get Medical and Pcc again for tourist Visa?
3. Is it a good idea to travel on Tourist Visa or I should just wait for Visa 309? I hope it wont effect the spouse visa in any way.
please assist

It takes around 12 months for the visa grant. You should wait for the 309.

Hey Bamborabi,

Sorry about the late reply. I'm doing well just really busy with work.

My application was received by the Brisbane processing centre on August 08, 2015. So its been a little over 2 months since submission. I didn't receive an acknowledgement upon the centre receiving my file, I had to call them to get that information.

Have been quoted 6-8 months but honestly who knows how long it will be.
Good Luck with yours.

Kind Regards,
Becky
