Hey!

I'd suggest to wait till you get the HAP ID. Book an appointment with the AHC approved doctor once you get it so they can submit your new reports to the high commission.
By the looks of it, there is progress and the application is being delayed because they are waiting for your new medicals. Once you get them done I would guess a decision should come through soon after that.

The high commission does have a high volume of calls coming through on a daily basis for an inquiry such as yours. People are frustrated due to lack of communication from the department's end and so it may be difficult to get through to them. Just get your agent to contact them.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hi Becky,

Fantastic write up. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Just a quick question, I'm about to apply for a Partner Visa (309 / 100). When does one actually pay the Visa fees, is it during the lodgement of application or when the Visa is granted ?

Hey Keerthikumar,

Happy to have been of help This forum has been of immense help to us when we were struggling with our application.

You need to have a draft in the name of the Australian Hight Commission, New Delhi with the full visa fees ready or it can be prepared at the VFS with an additional fees that is required to be submitted at the time of application lodgement.

Alternatively, you can also you a credit card for payment. You will have to put down the credit card details in the application form at the end.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Hey Roop Rathore,

Thanks for updating us. This is quite an extreme step AHC took and I have not come across this situation before. DIBP is getting strict with permanent partner visas and some Indian applicants have had officers visit their parent's home before approving the visa.

Home visits are not common for the first stage partner visas, interviews are not too common either. Complicated cases do however go through a lot more scrutiny.

What did they ask your family members if you don't mind sharing? Did they call first or just knock on the door without a notice?
I hope this leads to you getting your visa approved. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

I think you did a typo and you are saying 1 day after you gave it to vfs not 1 year?

India is usually around 9 to 12 months or longer. DIBP have stated pregnancy is not a reason for prioritise an application.

You won't be granted a 100 unless you can show 3 years de facto or marriage at time of application.

Having been deported it could mean that they look more closely at the application and it will take longer to process.
