when does one begin counting

Hi.It has been more than six months since we started the applications.I have had 2 interviews and was was asked to submit additional documents 3x.During the 2nd interview, the CO gave me the impression that she will just wait for the additional documents and will give the decision already having waited all these months. The documents were submitted 3 weeks since.

Question is would it be alright to follow up at the end of this month since that would be the 7th month.I was advised against it by my agent. He asked me to sit still and wait but his reasoning is that one begins counting not when it was lodged but when the case was allocated to a CO.Is this true?

Your application has had its complications that needed to be addressed Weng and so the CO needs to look at what else you have provided.
But do not also think that as soon as any information is submitted, it gets immediately looked at for it'll depend on just how many applications a CO has on their list and what other activities are involved such as doing interviews etc.
The other thing you should be aware of is that if you used an agent and they are nominated as contact, a CO should not legally communicate to you and if you start attempting to do so, they may consider you to be a PITA.

Thanks for the advise,Wanderer..
The complications have been addressed except the last issue which emerged after the routine check.Anyway, I will heed your advise and will keep mum and wait patiently...My CO was very nice and gave the impression that she just needed the last bits of documents and a decision will be issued.

What's a PITA anyway?
