457 to dependent pr transition

Hi,
My wife is going to australia on 457 visa through her employer.I will also be moving with her on dependent 457 visa in Sep 14.I have applied for skilled independent 189 and i am waiting for CO allocation. My question is whether my wife is eligble for dependent PR? Once she gets the dependent PR then will she be able to work with the same employer ?I am apprehensive about my wife's work rights and her employment with her current employer once dependent PR is granted to her.

Can someone please help me with my queries?

Thanks,
Amit
