What available except IELTS ?

Hi,

Anyone can tell me what test result available for PR application except IELTS exam?

What happen to our application if during lodge and processing there are any changing policy for visa application?

If there are any changes, our visa application will use the first policy when we lodge the visa or will associate to new policy?

Thanks
Win

IELTS is the only English exam accepted by Immigration Office as far as I know.

As for rules chage... if you lodged your application on the 1-st March 2011 and rules change 1-st July 2011, your application will still be processed as per policy that was valid on the 1-st March 2011.

You will find the Immi site most explanatory on all immigration issues including english language requirements - Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175)

Where most people fail to find relevant information is often it seems their preparedness to rely on what others may say rather than to commit to researching themselves on what is readily available.

English ability is the one of the key foundation stones to a successful life within Australia or any other country having english as a first language and you need to be prepared to make a commitment to developing tour ability if you fancy immigrating to any such country.

OK guys,

Thanks for the explanation, it's means I have no option except getting the IELTS exam and pass it with minimum 7.

Once the I get the PR, do I physically need to be there so that I could get a job? Or I could be in the country of origin and flight there after gaining certainty interviuw?

Thanks

Regards
Win.

My understanding is that if you are a health professional you may sit an Occupational English Test (OET) instead of an IELTS exam to demonstrate your language ability.

Additionally, applicants from the following countries may be exempt from english tests.

* United Kingdom (UK)
* Canada
* New Zealand
* United States of America (USA)
* Republic of Ireland.

what is your personal situation?
