We submit the Application yesterday. Hubby still has to complete his write-up for the 40SP and hoping to have that in today.

My medical referral letter also said BC sub100.

It seemed like it was just auto-populated when I hit submit.

Yes Chabayta, yet they continue to have a lot of social issues over there. These processes are in place to protect the Citizens. Definitely something I love about the country. Respecting their processes is super important.

Have you an update autojack? Trying to find some timeline examples for Canada/US.

Cheers

As a matter of fact, I got my first contact from a case officer last week, asking for clarification about the status of our children (they will be getting Australian citizenship, we just haven't finished the paperwork for it yet). That was the only question they had after reviewing my application, so I'm hopeful I will get a positive decision soon. I had resigned myself to not hearing for another couple of months.

It's good to hear that things are moving forwarding with the Washington DC applications. I applied for a 309 through Washington DC end of November and haven't heard anything since. It feels like hopeful news that they have started looking at October applications

BTW, how does one confirm what embassy is processing the application.
I remember the online application form asked for the country of residence and which Australian government office would be the closest located if one had to go for an interview. If you reside in the US that will be Washington DC, but to answer your question, this will never be specifically confirmed.

My 309 and 100 visas have both just been approved! My "must enter before" date is June 14, 2018, which is better than I expected. I had heard that it is usually one year from when your medical and background checks were done, which was January 2017 for me.

Application submitted: October 28, 2016
First contact by DIBP: July 26, 2017
309 and 100 visas both approved: August 3, 2017

Congratulations! Glad to hear such good news about a Washington DC application It must mean that they are finally assessing the end of year applications for 2016.

I'm curious, in case you applied online, did your status on the ImmiAccount ever change while you were waiting?
