Hello friends!
I applied for the offshore visa on September 9, 2017.
No CO or anything as of yet. Not sure what office mine would have gone to as I'm Canadian living in Japan? The waiting is killer though, always wondering when a CO will be assigned, etc. Forever wondering if I should/what else I could even upload for more evidence just to be safe...
We want to go back to Australia in May of next year so staying hopeful

309 from Thailand

Hi all,

My wife applied in Bangkok on 2.11.17 for a 309 and 12 months tourist visa at the same time. On 3.11.17 they already requested medical and police check. I see that most people wait quite a while for this to happen. Anyone had a similar experience? Is it because if tourist visa application so they won’t request it while she might be here in Oz? Cheers Stan

i hope u aware about immigration rules . like you have two visa application 309 visa subclass and 600 visa subclass . for example if u got visa 309 grant then visa 600 grant so last visa will stay and 1st visa subclass will removed . so u must inform case officer about your both visa for your safety

Just submitted my 309/100 offshore Defacto Partner visa today from Scotland! Couple months of collating evidence and filling out the application online.

Our case is relatively straight forward so I'm hoping the often mentioned 5-7 month turnaround times that many applicants are experiencing when applying from the UK are the same for us!

Also applied from Scotland in August this year. Uploaded everything incl. police checks and medical check. Still not heard anything.

I know it's still early days but fingers crossed I'll get something back soon.

Has anyone else applied mid-2017 and heard anything?

I applied end of June 2017 through Washington DC, have not been contacted as of yet, but it's only been 4+ months. Will upload police and medical this month.

We applied August 2 (from Canada), and submit Police Checks that had previously been done in June (as we didn't anticipate we'd have to wait so long for stats and getting the app in!)
Just completed AFP check for spouse/sponsor and waiting for it to come back and upload.
My medical is o/s and now just trying to figure out when to get that done.

Hi everyone,

I lodged my wife's application on 10 October 2017 and completed my sponsor's form on 15 October 2017.

Only Medical check is o/s.

Good luck everyone!
