Hi Sterna,

My partner and I applied on 9th September 2017 from Auckland. He is Brazilian but located here so initially we weren't sure whether it would be processed in Brazil or here in NZ. Recently we got confirmation from the embassy in Auckland that it is indeed being processed here (no other info though).
We received requirement for biometrics and medical the day of application too. It must be standard for applications going to that embassy, I am guessing.
What date did you apply? There is another thread - applying for PMV 300 from NZ, if you are interested. http://www.australiaforum.com/visas-...zealand-2.html
Cheers & good luck.
Gab

I am back...

My husband and I had lodged our Partner Visa subclass 309 in Malaysia (at AVAC Kuala Lumpur) on 6 April 2016. Thanks to the All Mighty, our visa was granted on 26 October 2016, short of seven months. Three days later, we were reunited!

Subsequently, we lodged our Partner Visa subclass 100 online on 13 April 2018.

The message states that the processing time is between 19 months and 29 months. Further, it states that our application status is "Family - Stage 2: Further Assessment." Application History: "Application Submitted."

Thank you Aussiesteve and skybluebrewer, I have actually entered Ausalia with our Partner Visa, and I have updated my Australian address in my immiaccount. By the way I have just noticed yesterday when I opened a bank account that my passport wasn't stamped by the immigration officer when I entered Australia last week, would that be a problem?

I just checked my passport and the last stamps I have from entering Australia were in 2016, when I was on an ETA and a 300. Once I had my 820, they stopped stamping as I've reentered Australia several times as an 820 holder and don't have a single stamp for it.

Maybe it's because the 309 and 820s don't necessarily have expirations dates wheres the ETA only had a 3 month stay (so stamp dated entry) and the 300 was only valid for 9 months. That or maybe they've stopped stamping recently? No idea, just my speculation but I don't think it matters. Some people go through those smart gates and don't see anyone at all so surely they don't get stamps.

Stamping passports in Australia seems to has gone the way of visa inserts .

When I was in Australia in July I asked for a passport stamp and this is word for word what the agent told me.

"We don't stamp anymore. Stopped that a while back. I can stamp your passport, but you wouldn't be allowed back into Australia after I do"
