I am in 17th months of waiting period I don’t know what is taking them so long. And what shoud i expect is there anyone here waiting for that long.

Please anyone give me some idea what should i do

We have a telegram chat for people waiting for 309/100 visa's there is roughly 70 people in it if you want to join you can download telegram and add Romeo1313 to be added into to group. some people have been waiting just over 26 months from India i'm not sure how many people are from Dubai in the chat but there are a lot of people waiting over 15 months

Quick question. Am I considered PR upon the grant or only once I activate it with the next visit?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
Ignore me.

An RRV seems pretty easy from within Australia as long as you have taken up residency. So in short yes you can wait a few years.
That applies to the 100, not the 309.

Thanks for the help guys. So if that info applies to the 100, any idea if there’s a requirement that 309 holders have to live in Australia?

There's not a requirement, but as the visa's purpose is to allow you to move to Oz to be with your spouse, you may want to address what your plans are and that you do intend to move here with your partner.

Stage 1 - Partner or Prospective Marriage Visa (300,309/100,820/801) application date is 2018 February 4th from Ontario, Canada.

Does anyone have similar application date and have you heard anything?

It's been 6 months since I logged my application and have heard nothing.

I will also contact my local MP as well, hopefully this will bring about some attention to the tens of thousands of people waiting too long to be reunites with their partners.

Hi,

Have you applied for yourself or for your spouse.
Is your partner staying in Australia or living offshore.
Please confirm.
