Congratulations! Best of luck with your move and new experiences in Australia!

Would you feel comfortable sharing which country you lodged in and whether you received a 309 or 100?

Thanks, sure.
I applied from Tehran, we were in de facto status relationship, lived a year together in Aus, and I got 309 visa.
Good luck to you.

hi all,

My file status changed to initial assessment last week and CO requested some more info.
I provided the info and clicked "information provided " and now status has changed to "Further assessment"

Does the status change automatically when someone presses the "information provided " button?

How do you submit medicals if the department has not yet requested them of you?

We were only able to get our HAP ID after we had paid the fee for the partner visa. You would then book an appointment with a panel physician. These are the doctors that are able to conduct your medical check.

Hello everyone,

My partner and I applied for 309 visa Feb 28th 2018. We were requested to submit medical s immediately. We also submitted police checks. Since then we have heard nothing. We got engaged in June and notified the department of this change. I’ve been in Australia on a tourist visa for 2.5 months now and need to leave soon as my tourist visa is only for 3 months. Is it possible they are waiting to issue my visa after I have left the country and my current tourist visa is up? It’s been nearly 8 months and it’s so disheartening isn’t it when you hear absolutely nothing 😞

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you're talking about the action required notification in your immi account, that wasn't a request to do the medical. It's an automatic notification everyone that applies for a partner visa gets immediately simply because a medical is required. A request comes from a CO usually via email and with a deadline.

And to answer your question, I doubt it. When I was onshore, they notified me they were ready to finalize and asked me to leave.
