We submitted 9 months ago and haven't heard anything either. It would be nice to know if someone was at least processing it. We uploaded police and medical checks last month so fingers crossed we simply receive the visa around Christmas time!

Hi everyone
Got the great news today! My husbands 309 got approved😊😊😊
Married April 2017 In lebanon
Applied for 309 June 2018 (police checks and all other necessary documents needed attached)
July 2018 husband went for his medical checks, whilst in the car on the way home he received a call to inform him his interview would be the following week. (crazy, right?)
August 2018 husband had his interview, I arrived in Lebanon the day of the interview. (trip was pre planned so the date just happened to be a coincidence)
October 2018 fell pregnant, sent report to case worker.
October 23rd got the news.

Goodluck to all of you
Advice I can give is make sure your statutory declarations are informative but not too formal. Include feelings etc. Make sure you discuss with your partner everything you wrote in your Stat Dec and make sure your interview answers match up to it. All in all just be honest and you can't go wrong, if you're telling the truth and it's all from your heart everything will hopefully go smoothly.

Is there any indication on our immi account when a case officer or someone in the department takes a look at our application? I reckon one indication would be when we receive an email from them for further information or visa notification. Kindly advise. Thank you in advance.

Visa Granted

Hi all,

Just providing info on my case to hopefully give info and hope to others!

Married: 17th December, 2016
Applied & Paid: January 26th, 2018
309 visa granted: 22nd October, 2018 (8 months)
Country applied from: India (handled through delhi, applied online)

I must say, we were very slow to upload docs, so was in genuine shock when I received the grant email, we had multiple request for docs and for docs like the certified marriage certificate & took like 3 months to provide it lol (complicated story), but thank God we got approved in a relatively short time.

Was a very hard and trying time, lots of tears and emotions - stay strong and trust in the process, wish you all a speedy turn around!!!!

As far as I know there isn’t any way to know if someone is looking at your account. Other than requests for more information, some people have zero communication with the department or case officer.

Cheers, after two visa refusals from the UK office for visitor visas, we just received a grant for a multiple entry 12 month visitor visa with a stay of 6 month per stay. It is at least some consolation, we can actually spend our wedding anniversary together. and Christmas and birthdays. i will take that win.

Hello! has anyone applied via Dubai? I am still awaiting on my wife's visa to be granted. They do not provide any information over the phone as the application was submitted online. My wife and I have been emailing the embassy in Dubai several times but they do not provide any information.
It has been 9 months since we have applied!

You are stil within the 13-17 months processing times so there is no point in emailing them right now. just have to wait.

Hi everyone.

Just a quick question. Myself and my wife currently live in the USA, neither of us are American, I am Australian and she is Vietnamese.

We will probably have green cards within the next month or so and, if that is the case, will apply for the offshore visa.

Should we decide that we wish to remain in the USA indefinitely, even after any visa is granted, would that be ok? Is there any hard and fast rule that the applicant must live in or enter Australia at any point to get or keep this visa?

We are planning for the future but not entirely sure what it holds yet.
