Hi,

So, had what I think is some quite good news today! I've had a request for further information from immigration (address history for myself and my partner), and advised that I have 2 days to provide this. This is because I am due to fly to Australia this week on a 6 month visitor visa and they said they would like to finalise my partner application before this date if possible, I imagine to avoid getting me to fly offshore within my first week there, but they cannot guarantee this of course.

I just wondered if anyone knew whether I just upload this information to my account, or do I need to somehow reply to my CO to say I've done it? The letter says "Send your response to me using the contact details provided below" but there are no contact details below! Whereas the email says "do not reply to this email" so I am slightly confused to be honest.

For anyone who is wondering, I applied on 22nd April 2018 at the London office, and nothing has changed on immi account until today, which now says "initial assessment". Hopefully this means those of you who applied about 6 months ago and have had no movement will start to receive some contact. Fingers crossed things are getting moving now anyway.

Thanks to anyone who might be able to help

Upload the information to your account, then hit the button saying that you've provided all information, etc. I believe it's at the very bottom of the uploads page (if it lights up to allow you to do this). Wouldn't hurt to send an email to the processing place to let them know you've done this as well. However, not sure what email for you to use if they didn't provide one.

It's definitely good news!! Best of luck!

Got our grant through today (30/10/18)
So relieved, we had been hoping it was going to come through before we fly in 3 weeks.

Hopefully this is some good news for anyone else who applied around April 2018 from London office

Hi,

Thanks so much for your reply. I did as you said (although I didn't send an email or anything), and I received my grant this morning! It sounds like they pushed it through fast because I fly out so soon!!! (cutting it a bit fine). Now mentally preparing myself for a permanent move rather than what could have been a temporary one

My timeline for those interested:

Submitted application: 22nd April 2018 (front loaded)
Request for further info: 30th October 2018
Sent further info (ten year address history only): 30th October 2018
Grant received: 31st October 2018
Flying to Australia: Tomorrow!
***The status of my application did not change until yesterday, so until then I had no idea anyone had even looked at it

It looks like things are starting to get moving again now, good luck everyone.

Hi,

Thanks

I am from the UK so applied through the London office. They seem to be taking around 6-8 months at the moment from what I have seen on this forum. Hopefully this means yours won't be much longer, but I am aware processing times can vary a lot depending on the country lodged. Fingers crossed for you that you get some good news really soon!

Thanks for your reply. You are right. It does vary each location. Well, my case is nothing compared to some who've waited months and months. Very happy for you though. Congratulations again. See you there!

How critical is that button? I submitted my application several months ago but never hit that button until today. does that mean all this time went to waste?
