Please update your flag here .

my partner has applied from Qatar as he was working there when we lodged the application, but he holds Sri Lankan nationality. We applied on 16 July 2018 front loaded. Medical and PC completed. He now resigned his job in Qatar in Sep 2018 and moved to Sri Lanka. We have changed the address in Immi. We haven’t received anything from CO yet. Does anyone know whether the application will be processed by the Dubai (nearest immigration) or Sri Lankan office?

Hi guys, I’m an Australian and my partner is from Latvia. We’ve applied from Auckland, New Zealand.

Timeline:
- Applied: Dec 3 (All documents supplied at time of applying)
- Received email from Fiji requesting updated police checks as the ones we supplied have expired (I’m assuming this was from our CO as we finally had a name and country): 3 October
-Police checks uploaded and pressed button that application was updated: 14 Nov

I’m wondering how much longer after suppling requested documents people have received their visa? Really appreciate any feedback from others after suppling their requested documents. Thank you!

Hi LMelbs

I applied 21 January 2018 from Auckland. Received an email from Fiji processing centre requesting for police checks on 4 October 2018. Submitted them on 19 October and my visa was granted 2 days later (straight to PR). So very similar situation to yours. I bet we might even have a same case officer..

Hi HennaKossi,

Thanks for the reply and congrats on being granted! It took a long time to get my AFP check back and just saw this article about the PM to cut the migration cap of 190,000.. Hopefully not too much longer. I wonder if it's the same officer. Congrats again and all the best with the move from Auckland to Aus.
