Does anyone know how long are South African Police Clearance Certificates considered valid for by the Australian Government when processing a Partner Visa? Is it the 6 months SAPS say they are valid or for 1 year like the Aus Home Affairs website says?

I'm just wondering when to apply for a new Police Clearance ... don't want my present PCC to expire and have to wait a further 3 months to get a new one ... and delay my visa being approved.

Hi psweaver, I’m not 100% sure on the SA police clearance. I would assume the Australian Govt would take their validity for 12 months, as that’s the standard for them here.

I'm not a 100% sure, but I've been told the money isn't refundable.

From what I understand, you could try and appeal the decision?

Sorry

No, you can try and appeal that decision on the application you’ve paid for. If you lose, you’d need to look at another option and pay the fees associated.

Hope you all get your visa granted soon.
Congratulations, interesting it was processed by Beirut Embassy for a SL application. Any reason why?
My husband was working in Qatar when we applied for the visa in July 2018 and we selected the country of residence as Qatar. Later he moved to Sri Lanka in late September 2018 so then we notified embassy of the changes via Immi. I believe it was processed by Beirut as it was the closest office to Qatar. I heard Dubai office is no longer process residential visas.
