[QUOTE="CollegeGirl;763442"]Charlie Brown - Surprised you got asked for a Form 80 - I thought they typically didn't ask you Brits for that. Have you filled out both the applicant's application AND the sponsor's application sections? BOTH of those allow you to upload documents once they're complete. Give this a read if you don't know what I mean

OMG wish I'd seen this post before all my trial and errors 😜thanks college girl !!
CharlieBrown (applicant) is a dual citizen , and the UK is not his country of birth, so perhaps that's why we're filling form 80 ? Im not really sure actually but it does seem to be more common lately .
Thanks for the thoughts guys ! Filling forms, scanning and uploading now !!

Oh, what's the best way to fill in the form 80.. With a pen and scan or type into it is so much neater, but for some reason every time I type into it and save it to my desk top , then reopen it, it's blank 😞kinda a bit painful ... Any tips ?

It's a massive pain, but it's the type of pdf where you can't save the data you enter into it. So you have to fill it out in one go to print and sign. We are filling out on paper the typing it in, if that helps
Good luck!!

Type it, print it out and sign and scan it. Yes, if he's a dual citizen and wasn't born in the UK, that might very well explain the Form 80. Best of luck!

I don't know, my partner is from the UK, not a dual citizen, born and bred English with no complications whatsoever... we still had to do it

A little tip - you can get PDFs "unlocked" using a free online tool, so you can type into the form and save it. Makes a big difference if you don't want to do it all in one sitting!

When you were filling out form 80, and the question was something like people you know in Australia (or along those lines) how detailed did you go? A few people or like, loads?
