Hi everyone,

I just submitted my application and saw the row for "Attach Documents". Clicked on that to see my name, my sponsor's name and my parents names. However I had listed my parents as "Non-migrating member of the family unit". Can someone explain if this is regular? And what documents I should upload for them. Thank you in advance, cheers!

Family unit members should only be spouse or children, not your parents.

The new definition of Member of the Family Unit comes into effect on 19 November 2016

This change applies to most visas except protection, refugee and humanitarian visas

The new definition removes those ‘relatives’ as defined in the previous Reg 1.12 (1)(e): a relative of the family head or of a spouse or de facto partner of the family head who:

(i) does not have a spouse or de facto partner; and

(ii) is usually resident in the family head’s household; and

(iii) is dependent on the family head.

This amendment is made to simplify and limit the definition of member of the family unit, limiting the definition to the spouse or de facto partner of a primary applicant, and children of the primary applicant or their partner, who are dependent.

No other contact until today, Feb 20th, with the grant.
Congratulations!

criminal record

Hey guys,

I am new to the forum and just about to apply for the 309/100 visa, I'm the applicant from Sweden and my partner is the Australian citizen by birth.

I have however run in to a few questionmarks, in the form 80 they are asking if anyone included in the application has got a criminal record. My partner does, but is that what they are asking or would it be potential children or similar that they count as "included in the application"?

He has two drug sentences that resulted in spent conviction, is this a worry?

Thankful for you input!

Petra

Yeah I noticed that too, I really don't want to wait in Greece with my wife that long, what will happen if got a tourist visa for her? Will it complicate things?
