Ah ok thanks I will double check, I think I did the online one.

I am not sure where it was processed but when the medical was requested the letter head said the Australian embassy in Tel Aviv so possibly it was processed there. Is there a way to find out where it is processed?

I think others have mentioned something being written at the bottom of the grant letter but I'm not entirely sure. I could be remembering that wrong.

I did look for it earlier but I can only see the case officers name which is the same name from when the medical was requested which was in Tel Aviv so I can only assume that it was processed there even though we live in Berlin and applied under his Polish passport and not Israeli.

Applied for 309 when my wife was working in Dubai. So ended up having my application processed from Beirut office.

Application lodged: 05 Nov 2018
Medicals Done: 21 Dec 2018
Request for Info: 02 Jan 2019
Sponsor status: Further Assessment
Applicant status : Further Assessment

The request for info was very vague as the checklist was asking for all documents to be submitted again. In my case all the required documents were submitted when we lodged the application. I did email them asking for more info, but haven't received any reply yet. Has anyone else come up with same issue ?

Now my wife has left her work in Dubai and moved back to her home country India. I'm not sure if change of country of residence will change the application office and create a further delay to the application.

Also next year Jan 2020 we are having our wedding ceremony and my wife wants to come to Australia with me on tourist visa if her 309 is not approved by then. Does anyone know if we can apply for sponsored tourist visa while we have an application being processed for 309.

Thanks guys
Hi Jasrodz,

Is there any update on your application? Just asking cos our dates are quite similar, so I'm only hopeful mine should come around after you have received.

Thanks,
smita

Hi, everyone

Me and my partner submitted our application on the 5th of October. Still waiting to hear from home affairs about anything else since we submitted the health assessment 17th October.

I know whilst waiting for the application to be approved she can apply for the visitors visa. But, does anyone know if she is able to to apply for a student visa while we wait?

Exciting news! My partner was granted the 309 today from Berlin. We applied on 31 July 2018 without an agent and front loaded with police clearances and medical. We had no contact at all until receiving the grant notification today after just under 7 months. They have given us until 20 July 2019 to enter which is the date we received his police clearance. Thanks for all the support and good luck to those still waiting!
