Unfortunately, many social media groups still share the misinformation and links to the old paper form. For some time immigration would still accept it, but it seems they're no longer doing so.
I applied for my 309 in Jan 26th and it had the option 40sp in the dropdown menu of documents to be attached. I don't know why its still there, it got me confused. If it wasn't for the forum I would not know either.

Heya peeps ive been waiting since december 2017.
You guys should get your sponsors to contact their local member as immigration has to respond asap when recieving docs from local members. I have heard it helps others. I have already done mine and spoken to immigration who is fast tracking my visa due to other circumstances.
But be aware its election so maybe worth forwarding it after election.

The visa information website explains how the sponsor should do the online form after the applicant has paid.

It's interesting that people focus on that 40SP option in the upload section of the application when, at least in my case, there were many other documents that didn't apply to me that were listed as "recommended" items. If the checklist is followed on the website, then there's no need to worry about the upload options as it's generic.

Apply after the applicant has applied for the visa and given you their:

Transaction Reference Number (TRN) or
application ID

You can use:

your partnerís ImmiAccount or
your own ImmiAccount. You can create your own ImmiAccount if you don't have one

When you are in ImmiAccount select Sponsorship for a Partner to Migrate to Australia (300, 309/100, 820/801).

Did you call the department to see what is happening? You are eligible to enquire and make a complain as it is passed the processing time
