It's interesting that people focus on that 40SP option in the upload section of the application when, at least in my case, there were many other documents that didn't apply to me that were listed as "recommended" items. If the checklist is followed on the website, then there's no need to worry about the upload options as it's generic.

Ok I am little confused now maybe I am just a real noob.

The applicant my wife has TRN and application status received.

The sponsor me has a TRN and application Submitted. Is my application the 40sp already? or is under a new application?

Its been 3 months yet and No Case officer contact. Front loaded with Medicals and Police checks for both.

Yes, your sponsor application submitted and linked by TRN is the 40SP, just in electronic form. Mine as sponsor has the same status (and I understand may never change from status 'submitted').

I think the confusion comes as some people don't realise you need to submit a sponsor application separately from the actual applicant application (and link them as you have done). Then they are asked to submit a 40SP which actually they could then do online.

Another set of hoops and awkwardly explained information I also wonder if it varies between processing centres and some will still accept the 40SP paper form scanned and uploaded rather than the online application.

We frontloaded everything, police checks, health requirements and other essentials. we are given until the end of October for the first entry to Australia. As i have written this the expected process times are 15 months 75% and 20 months 90%

I hope it helps you all.
Congratulations, you have just given me hope, I applied Jan 26th 2019 for Berlin Office. I hope to get my wifes 309 before Jan 2020.

Yes I got the AFP, I done it online cost $42 and was delivered to a remote island in Greece within 2.5 weeks. You always have to do a police check for any partner application. They will definetly request it. I got request for a Greek one as well, even though I have only been here for 8 months. I didn't think it was required as the immi site only says if you have lived 12months or more.

You can always apply and have it, just don't upload it until a case officer asks. They only give you 28 days to have it or a receipt that you have tried to get it.
