Hi, can someone clarify this for me... my husband (applicant) received an email from the Department saying that the 40sp form that we attached to his documents was not ok and basically the instructions are to apply for a family-sponsor application that links to the primary applicantion through the TRN. But I've (sponsor) already completed this application using his immi account and relevant TRN... and it says 'submitted'.. What are they asking of us? It doesn't make sense to me. 🤔

i think it should be ok since you have filled up the online 40SP...maybe they are just telling you that the paper 40SP form that was attached is not relevant anymore...

thanks

out of curiosity , may I ask why it was refused , to do with applicant or sponsor ? I had a disastrous time with ex wife whom I sponsored to my eternal regret over 5 years ago but hope to sponsor a new partner quite soon .

Hi Doreen_Sutton,

Turns out you were right. We called the European info center again and the lad that answered was really lovely. He explained that in the initial assessment they may have just missed my (sponsor) online application and that we should just send them a screenshot that the sponsor application has also been submitted. *fingers crossed now* that wait continues..

s_q_hasan,

If you're asking me, we only applied a couple of weeks ago, though I honestly doubt it means anything that they requested this so soon. We shall see! Hoping you hear something soon.
