I wish every one Speedy grant.
That super awesome. Congrats. Did they ask for any proof of your residency in uae after the updates?

He is Aussie and I came to Melbourne on a tourist visa about 3 weeks ago after us both being in the UK for 2 years. Currently on a 3 month Evisitor visa that I activated in March to come over for a wedding but I'm wondering if this has had some impact on the wait time or if it's probably going to be a 16 month wait!
Any help would be great 🙂
Applied in the UK in early Feb 2019 here, with my RFI coming at the end f July. No movement onmine yet, buit on another forum I am seeing the January 2019 applications coming through steadily now after months of delays. Hoping we should hear something in the next couple of weeks, or it will be possibly a 600 visa application going into head over there for Christmas and until the grant comes through.

Hello 309 partner visa waiters!!!
I am an Australian citizen and my husband is the applicant from India. I have been visiting this page EVERY SINGLE DAY to find hope for more than a year. I had lost hope, was very depressed and was preparing to move in with my husband in India. However, I got the news 2 days ago 06/11/2019. Here is my timeline, I hope this gives hope to someone.

Firstly, I want to say I met my husband on Facebook in 2013 and we have been on a long-distance relationship for the past 6 years. I met him for the first time in Oct 2016 and we lived together for 3 months. Then we met again at the end of 2017 and lived together for 3 months. We got married during our second visit and then I visited him again in Nov 2018 to Dec 2018.

We front loaded the application up to Sep 2018 and did not update anything else after the submission of the application until our contact from the New Delhi office. We didn’t submit the PCC as we thought they need to contact us to submit it. My husband did his medicals on the 24/05/2019 about 9 months later (This was flagged since the date of the application – we didn’t know what it meant as we applied for the visa on our own).

DOL – 24/09/2018
Phone call – on the 16/09/2019 Officer just called to check on a small information about our wedding.
PCC request – 17/09/2019
PCC submitted – 19/09/2019
Auto generated message “your application is progressing” – 29/10/2019
Visa grant – 06/11/2019

I really hope this will help someone to keep going on because many notes like this helped me a lot to cope. All the very best!!! I genuinely wish you get your visa ASAP!!! Now its time for me to prepare for the next obstacle (visa 100).

Hey everyone,
We have applied for my wife 309 visa 9 months ago and still waiting for grant.
We are going to apply for tourist visa so my wife can spend time with me in Australia during xmass and new year period.we got 2 options:1-Tourist stream subclass 600 OR 2-sponsored family stream subclass 600.
Not sure which one to apply for!
Any advice will be highly appreciated 🙂

We have applied in Belgrade (Serbia) at 22March 2019. After 3 months they asked for some more details. Since then nothing happen
It is somehow easier when I hear that there is more people who are waiting, and that you are not alone.
Good luck to everyone !

what I can suggest from my experience and around.
Go for Family Sponsored stream :- More chances of visa as it will mostly depend on your documents income. more chances of only 3 months visa though. if your wife is working/studying full time then any visa will do

But I will still go family sponsored as it will be stronger case with any case.

From what I have seen, the Family Sponsored stream has a higher rejection rate, and takes longer to process.

We did the normal tourist stream while we were waiting for the 300 PMV, and we got a 12 month stay.

But, nationality can have an effect on which is best.
