ohhh then we are on same boat! mine has been 16 months and 1 day as of today from the day of lodgement. and first RFI was on 9th September which makes 2 months and a week and second RFI was on 16th October which makes a month. hopefully not too long but the wait at this point is even harder!

Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody knows how long the waiting period might be after the visa status is on 'Further Assessment'? We have noticed the status change from 'Submitted' to 'Received' to 'Initial Assessment' and then to 'Further Assessment' (about 2 months ago), so we're hopeful this means we're not far away from it being processed, but we can't find anywhere whether this might be the case or not.

Anybody else on 'Further Assessment', or a status that is further along the process? We applied through Belgrade.

I’m on ‘Further Assessment’ as well.
Applied in March, changed to ‘initial assessment’ in April, then changed to ‘Further assessment’ in Jun, received RFI in July.
Still waiting now

I don't see why cutting incoming numbers means upping times for 309/100 (they are supposed to be 'as needed' not queued). Also, they've been increasing numbers for years. As one economist noted, this means that while GDP may appear to rise, per capita GDP is falling, and has, in fact, been in recession.

Have you received any mails? Seems like a lot of applicants from India who applied in January are getting their grant mails.

The planning levels for the partner visa is near enough 40000 for 2019-2020 so if there are 50000 applicants that financial year then 10000 will have to wait till the next financial year.
Note thats both onshore and offshore visas.
I think off memory from a article that there is about 60000 applications a year and increasing every year

309 grants have been reducing for a few years.

309 Visa Grants by year

2018/19 - 15,991 Grants.
2017/18 - 17,446 Grants.
2016/17 - 22,029 Grants.
2015/16 - 24,145 Grants.

Longer processing times could be due to more checks being done, etc.

Yes, it was for Medicals. Police checks were front-loaded.
I haven’t updated any more evidences about relationship after I clicked the button’ i confirm I have provided all evidences’ in June ( yes it was ‘initial assessment ‘before I undated all my documents)
Should we updating regularly?
