We tried to fill in the form and was able to fill in his employment history from current back to 2006 with company names and addresses. But for earlier info (1994 - 2006), he really has difficulty to find the details of each job as they are mostly "freelance" and "causal work".

What shall we do with this?

I'm really have headache with it, please help! Thanks everyone!
Give best details. We attached a letter/note at ALL forms where we had to give a "best guess" and the notes said as much. Some of my employment included guesses/best recollection, and some of our travel likely included short weekend trips where we could not differentiate the stamps (we lived in the ME and would take lots of small trips which required stamps and they would stamp over each other.

As long as you areas detailed as possible and tell them where you are doing the best you can, just make sure they know that. It's normal.

Hey folks,

Got the email this morning telling me to go offshore (I applied offshore, 309, but I am visiting my spouse in Aus right now).

DOL: 25/01/19
Requests (sorry, I don't know about rfi, further assessment, etc.) in:

March: additional background checks, medical (completed April);
April: Biometrics (completed April), additional document based on review of previous month's documents

No info/contact from office after biometrics upload until today. I always notify when coming to Aus, of course.

Relevant info:
Applicant from US.
Married for 9 years at DOL (10 now).
Offshore through London (all correspondence has London on it, anyway), though not based in Europe.
Lots of travel in the last 10 years on our forms, and multiple background checks required.
Hired an agent.

Will go offshore soon for the required 5 business days.

I contacted immigration (email through official page they provide) last Friday to suggest they give families more regular notice of their situations since the time for visas has blown up massively, using my own situation as an example. They keep raising the price, the least they can do is tell us if we can make plans once a quarter. If there is no chance of a grant it could even be automated! Clearly they need to hire more people if they are going to allow skilled visa numbers to quadruple. I do not care if people think I am a jerk....family should take a priority!

Congratulation!!!

Can you please tell me how long they give you to leave the country for the 5 busniess days to grant the visa. I'm in a similar situation where if i get the grant i will be asked to leave country so just wanted to ask how long you have to leave.

Thank you in advance

Thanks for your advice, so it's OK for me to put "self-employment" without the company names and addresses for those unknown/guesses ones?

The letter says to tell them when I am leaving, make sure they respond and to confirm that I am leaving the day before. It requires that I contact them in 28 days or they have the right to make a decision.

We are likely going to go in the next 2 weeks. I need to make sure I am gone for 5 business days.

I put street names for the unknown places. I made sure I told them everything I could. I am not an agent! That said, if you were not technically self employed, I am not sure you should say that. Perhaps give a city in the form and be specific in your letter?

Again...I am NOT an agent!

If he is a freelance qualified/registered electrician and he is making a living out of it, for sure, he is self-employed. There are many such self-employed electricians here in Australia and they do not work for companies. For local tax purposes they are called "Sole Traders" and for sure they are self-employed.

That must be the Transaction Reference Number (TRN). If you login to your immi account you would see it. If you have an agent, please ask the agent.
