I had applied for a visitor visa for my wife and it was rejected citing the reason 'the applicants partner is a permanent resident and so refused based on the criteria that there is little incentive for the applicant to return to their country of residence'.Also to be noted i was outside of Australia when we applied for the initial visitor visa.

We then applied for the Partner visa in May 2019 and is still in the queue and subsequently after my India trip had applied for a sponsored visitor visa and she was granted only 3 months Single entry visa.

She is leaving in a week to India and we are thinking of applying another visitor visa for her to stay with me till her Partner Visa application is processed is it fine if we apply for Visitor Visa on the tourist stream as that is what i believe will provide her with multiple entry visa and a long term stay with me.

Query -> Can my wife apply for Visitor Visa Tourist stream..
-> Wife's Medical has expired but no option to update or do
another any idea on this

Points -> I am an Australian PR on RRV now with a full time Job
-> My Wife is currently unemployed and awaiting her Partner visa [ in 'Q'for almost 8 months ]
-> My Wife's current Sponsored visa is about to expire on 10th of January and it was granted
only for 3 months.
-> Can we apply in Tourist stream to spend more time with me till our partner visa gets
processed and is there any cooling period or restriction between visitor visa applications.

Thanks,
Kartheesh
You need to focus on the applicant not the sponsor.
It's possible but you need to do your research

hi to everyone..

i hope it is not too late to wish Merry Christmas to everyone & Happy New Year...

sorry, i always have doubts & questions...

until now, it has almost been 19 months waiting...third CO (3 different CO) has asked for my husband's medical check up & Malaysia PCC since it has long expired (got them both in June-July 2018)...fair enough they asked for it...every CO asked for different document...

but, what about my daughter? she has now turned to 1 year 3 months..she has been added into my husband's application since she was a new born (October 2018)...i hope they will not forget about her...in every updates, we will always upload her photos...I'm just curious...i thought she might needed to do medical check up as well? as for now, still waiting for the Malaysia PCC & my husband is going to do his medical check up today...okay...now, is it necessary for me to email them and ask about my daughter? or how?

pls help...

thanks...

Hi Everyone

I am new to the forum here.

I have been active on the other expatforum.

I just applied for partner visa Subclass 309. My partner is overseas and I applied for 309 yesterday.

Just wanting to know what the current timelines are.

I have provided these docs:

- BIrth Certificate (Partner and myself )
- Evidence of Marriage on Social Media (Change of relationship status to married on Facebook)
- Wedding Card
- Passport (Applicant and myself)
- Photographs of marriage and general being together
- I added my partner as my benificiary on my superannuation and uploaded a screenshot of it
- My Police Report Check
- Partner Police Report Check
- Partner's Form 80
- My Evidence of Permanent Residency
- Form 1022 (Change of Circumstances to show that I have now changed my marital status from single to married)

I have uploaded screenshots of my whatsapp call logs. I read here that some people were asked full message logs. Not sure how to prepare that document.

Can you please help?

Yes. You open the chat with your partner, click the three dots at the top right corner then click on more then on export chat. It gives option to email it. Then email it to yourself, download, open with word and save as pdf. It will seem wise to delete your partners name in your phone contacts first. That way when you export the chat, their phone number shows and not the pet name (like "babe") you used to save their number on your phone.

Then u can explain in the pdf that u deleted your partners name first before exporting the chat so theit telephone numbet could show as recipients

In addition, dont edit or remove anything. Just leave it all as it is. Dont worry about call logs. You cant export that. Unless screenshot its only the messege that can be exported.
Media files like pictures you have sent to each other wont show when you export. So dont worry about that as well

For facebook, you open your profile page, go to settings and privacy then click on settings. Then under "your facebook information" section, click on download your information. In thr next page, click on deselect all, before selecting the option of "messages". Then scroll all the way down to create file. It takes about 24 to 48hours to recieve it in your email ( the one you used to create your facebook). Search for the chat with your partner, download and save as pdf that it for facebook. It will be important if your partner used their real name on facebook
