You need to fill form 1418, download that and check the checklist for other documents
Your sponsor will do 1149
If there is no provision for applying online from your country, then your sponsor will post paper application to nearby DIBP office.

Not sure where the best place to ask this is... but here is my situation.

We applied online for the 309/100 in June 2014, they asked for medical + police checks in July - we sent everything back by August.
We had hoped to have the visa before going to visit my family in Australia in January - called the office beforehand and they wouldn't tell us anything.

Visa got approved (yay!) middle of March (6 weeks after we returned from Australia...)
and my partner is supposed to enter the country by August.
Very frustrating because it's a really expensive and long flight - and we have just been.

I don't understand why they would ask for the health check so early (I thought they usually ask closer to making a decision) - and then give such short notice for first entry (they are basing the entry date on when the health checks were performed).

Has anyone had success with getting the entry date changed? Or appealling etc.?

I fear entering dates just caNnot be changed. I beg to comment that you should be happy than being frustrated as here are people waiting for so long to get visa to be granted, n you hve the Visa .. You stil have 3 months ..tickets aint really that expensive

Hi Jmac01,

I'm still waiting too, it has been nearly 10 months now. I did it in Indonesia.
I live in Australia at this moment using Visitor Visa (600) which is will run out on June.
Hopefully they will grant me soon or give me more time with Visitor Visa while waiting for it.

So you are still really early Jmac01

Hi All,

Thought i would post in this forum. Applied in August 2014 @ Delhi high commission. Has anyone applied in August 2014 still waiting for visa? I received the acknowledgment letter on 02/09 confirming application was received. Medicals was done in Sept 2014 and PCC was submitted last week with a acknowledgement that it was received and forwarded to the relevant department.

Just curious as i've been reading in other forums where Oct-2014, Nov-2014, Dec-2014 applications was granted in the last few days of april.

Even an applicant in Feb-2015 got their visa on 30/04/2015....WTH???

Hi all,
I lodged my application for PMV last week and now going to apply for six month visiting visa. Since I don't have case officer , to whom I should applying. Is that ok for me to apply 6 months rather than 3 months. Any advise highly appreciated.

Thx

You are applying to DIBP, no need of CO , its totally a different application, not related to your PMV

So as your applying for tourist visa(6 months), chances of getting visa will be less( seeing that your PMV is in process).
Normally dts why people go for sponsored tourist visa(3months), chances of getting this visa are higher as compared to previous one but it comes with no further stay clause which mean you hve to exit after 3 months.
