Yes it normal. Most grants i saw had it 1 to 2 months after submitting their RFIs

Yay, finally got the golden email today Here is my timeline:

DOL: 13/05/19
1st RFI: 12/12/19
2nd RFI: 07/01/20
Grant 309/100: 14/01/20

The first RFI was for my PCs and Birth Certificate, in the second they wanted to know which countries I had lived in for longer than 12 months in the past 10 years. We did a frontloaded application including PCs and all other documents so all this had been uploaded to the application already, no idea why they asked for it again. We uploaded the requested documents again, both on the day the RFIs came in.

Processing office was Berlin. I was on a BVA (Appeal visa for a previous visa that got refused) and left the country on a BVB last May to apply for 309, my husband and I lived together in Australia this whole time. I was asked today to go offshore so the partner visa can be granted. I am German so they processed in Berlin although I thought we would have been processed in Australia as we live here. I looked up the processing times for the Berlin embassy and it's been pretty bang on 8 months, I guess that's German efficiency ;-)

Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone,

I have been reading all comments on the forum and would like to add my timeline.

My partner and I have been together for 3 years married for 2. We have lived together in Turkey.

I am now back in Australia and we have applied for the 309 on the 17th of Oct 2019. Once we attached all the documents the status became further assessment. Uploaded everything upfront including bio & health check.

Dont know if I should get excited but partner got a phone call RFI today. He was told to add the Extra info so they could speed things up.

Dont want to get my hopes up but I feel like we are not going to wait much longer.
Fingers crossed

I wonder why some people get a "further assessment " notification fairly quickly when they have submitted their application and some do not get any notification? Even if front loaded?

Also, my husband has almost used his limit on uploads but we have been away 3 times in 2019, got tickets, photos etc......one of the trips was back to Australia again. Should we be uploading the evidence of these trips? As i am the sponsor, i would have to upload in the available slots, but will a case officer know if i upload further evidence? Been waiting 7 months on 23rd of this month since lodgement and had no contact so far.

Thank you.

Look forward to any replies. Xx

If they sent you a correspondence to do the medicals they give you 28 days to do it. If they didnt give you the correspondence but it flagged as action required then no you wont be in trouble best to do it asap. Alot of people wait till a CO ask them and that even takes like over 5 months or more beforw they get the request to do it

Yes do upload them. Make a word document, attach the photos in there with short description.. photos includinf that of the tickets and everyrhing related to the trip. And upload it. A CO will see it still. You can upload it under the sponsor slot if the applicant is full. Its allowed. You see a messege like that whenever you login into immiaccount

Hi to all..

I am so sorry I have to ask questions again...I am so lost & a little bit stressed.

I'd like to share my husband's timeline.

Date of Lodgement - 309 Offshore Visa
06.06.2018

Police Check Malaysia
09.07.2018 & 06.01.2020

Police Check Nigeria
25.09.2019 & 31.12.2019

Medical Check Up
20.06.2018 & 30.12.2019

Uploaded Form 1022 Changes of Circumstances the birth of Ayraa
13.10.2018

Request For Information
13.06.2019, 25.09.2019, 13.12.2019

Case Officers
3 different people (no interview)

Grant Date :- 13th January 2020.

Here's a brief of the Journey.

My husband lodged his application on the 6.6.2018, when I was about 6 months pregnant. I gave birth to my daughter on the 24th September 2018. We notified the birth of our daughter using form 1022 - Changes of Circumstances on the 13th October 2018. That means, I have notified them the birth of our daughter before they make decision on my husband's visa.

They were asking information about my husband only & nothing for my daughter.

To my understanding, by notifying them on the birth of my daughter using the 1022 form, my daughter will be added onto my husband's application, right? Or am I wrong? She was a new born when we notified immi about her birth.

Up until now, we haven't seen any grant of her visa on VEVO. I am quite worried.

Please help explain to me what is happening? For your information, I have drafted an email to inquire about her.

But I still need to hear things from you guys who would make me get a clear mind.

By the way, I cannot apply for her citizenship by descent, because I am a citizen by descent myself. I have to stay in Australia for two years to be able to apply for her citizenship by descent.

Thank you. I appreciate any help.
