When u upload it they see it, so it could be processed and finalised even before the 28 days us up, or can even take 2 or more months before finalised. And i assume u r talking about RFIs

wow i never noticed that. thank you. i pressed the button, confirmed on the next screen, and then after a minute or two of loading i received an error message. however when i went back to the main page to try again, the button has been greyed out and cannot be clicked anymore. does that mean it went through? has this happened to anyone else?

They do get the chance to look at it, as they are notified of the event.
Otherwise they can process after 28 days, based on what you have or have not submitted, or they can wait as long as they wish before sending a reminder again.

Or of course they can find something you need to supply, and send you another RFI.

One of ours was actioned, and granted, very soon after clicking that button.

Hi everyone- been reading this forum for a long time now and thought it’s time to contribute.
My husband and I initially lodged the application in March 2019. This was for a PMV 300
Got married in November 2019 and now converting to a 309/100.
No contact yet/no RFIs
We didn’t include medicals as our agent suggested we wait until it’s requested.

We are looking at applying for a visitor visa next month so my husband can come and stay with me in Australia
Husband is from India (online application)

Just send an email to the AHC where you applied and inform them that you seek to convert the application to 309 since you are now married. You will get response requesting for further information, photos , marriage certificate etc. It will boost your waiting period and response.
As for the visitors visa no harm in applying, just be ready for acceptance or rejection.

Does anyone know if the status of the application actually means anything?
I applied November 2019 and it is further assessment since about a month ago.
Everything front loaded.

It varies. It can mean progress or nothing. Some people have had their status move from received to granted wile other have had gradual changes.
