Cheers and Best of luck mate
Well I uploaded about 86 documents during this nine months period of waiting time. I went in all relevant categories and tried to upload as much as relevant documents as possible. Every month I uploaded documents which shows we were in contact and our relationship is continuing.

It was just about identity verification and if I been traveling to certain countries. Nothing else.

Hello Everyone,

We recently received an email asking my spouse to leave Australia so that a decision is made on the Partner Visa. We have replied to the case officer with our travel plans for a week. Exiting on a Sunday and returning back following Friday evening which makes it 5 working days.

Is this period sufficient for the decision to be made? Has anyone else come across this situation please share your experiences.

Thank you very much in advance!

Do you ever get automated email from homeaffairs after a year lodged? email like this : "we are writing to inform you that your application for a partner visa is in progress. your application takes time to process as we complete a number of thorough checks".

It varies for different application locations. Most are done within a few days. Often 1 to 3 days, but some embassies appear to take longer.

We did that with our subclass 300. Left on the Friday evening, with the grant on the Monday morning, 11am.

I did hear of one that actually took a few weeks.

We replied to immigration with our travel plans, a 7 day trip, and they didn't tell us it it would be a problem.
Their reply was this:
"J's" flight date has been noted. We will endeavour to finalise this application once she has left Australia.

We chose 7 days as many others has mentioned the grant came within a few days, but I wanted an extra few days just in case.
