Our online application moved from "Submitted" to "Stage 1" a couple of months ago but apart from that we haven't heard anything and haven't been assigned a CO as yet. Basically I was just after a general idea of how long people, who have submitted applications around the same time, have had to wait to be assigned a CO and progress further. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi.

We applied a few months before you and my fiancÚ is from the U.S. but I thought I would reply as we have since been granted our visa.

We actually didn't hear from a CO until they requested the medicals and police checks which was about 5 months after we submitted our application. They usually won't contact you until they either need more information or they are going to grant the visa.

I know it's hard but sit tight and hopefully you'll hear something soon

Also, how long after lodgement did your partner do biometrics?
Hi good to know. My partners male. We completed the form 80- http://www.immi.gov.au/forms/Documents/80.pdf. We have not filled any form from asio. Is that a requirement???? We applied online and he hasn't done no biometrics also. Is he suppose to those 2 things????

Hi i am SO glad i found someone in the exact same boat as me ☺

Yes the form 80 is the form required for the character check and its done by asio. Did the embassy ask you for the form 80 or did u send it with your application.?

From my understanding you need to provide biometrics at the time you apply. Its interesting to know that the embassy still hasnt requested biometrics from you husband given u applied in January! ! I suppose i shouldnt expect a request for biometrics anytime soon....

Yeah. Same. Pm me for more details. I just send the form 80 with the application. Nope haven't been asked to do biometrics even though we got an email for additional documents.

Hi silky

How are you? I'm new here. I would just like to know the requirements you've submitted for offshore partner visa. Thanks.

309 granted today - yay!

Applied on 6 November 2014 from Jakarta. My partner had been granted a tourist visa and was due to depart this week, so we were caught completely off guard and unprepared. My partner has to enter Australia by 25 August so he will most likely arrive as scheduled this week, then fly back to pack up his stuff and resign from his job.

Good luck to all who are waiting - you are in my thoughts.
