I noticed that some of you have raised questions about whether or not the processing offices in various countries are still in operation amid the current global health crisis. We submitted in Hong Kong and my husband received the grant letters for his subclass 309 & 100 applications earlier today. Our timeline as follows:

Subclass 309 & 100:
Date submitted: 11 Oct 2019
RFI: 06 Mar 2020
Date Granted: 14 Apr 2020
Processing office: Hong Kong

Best wishes to those of you waiting and stay safe and well!

We have been married for 14 years and have 2 sons aged 12 and 9, so subclass 309 & 100 came through together. I also wrote an email to his case officer and asked very nicely if assistantance could be given to expedite his application as we plan to move soon. I provided my sons' Melbourne school enrollment confirmation with the email, to prove our intention to move. Since a travel ban has been applied indefinitely from 20 March on all non-Australian citizens and non-permanent residents from entering Australia, I explained to the case officer the importance of this much needed visa because it will help us keep our family together.

I suppose that might have helped to prove the genuineness of your relationship...

Some things do make a difference..

Now you just have to get here. Not many flights, and then 14 days in a hotel in isolation.

Sorry, just curious how did you obtain your CO's email? I was under the impression that all emails from departments are anonymous.

If anyone is interested we got a reply that the Belgrade office is still processing visas but at limited capacity. Has anyone else applied there from the Balkan region?

Hi every one,
I was wandering if somebody who is granted 309 visa can enter Australia? Are 309 visa holders considered Australian residents or not? I have flight on 24th of April, do I need to inform Australian immigration service of my attention to enter Australia?
