Since you currently hold a 309 visa you do not have to obtain any travel exemption as your visa permits for you to enter to Aus as a resident.. I'm in receipt of the same visa and hoping to travel during 1st week of May..

However you have to stay on 14days quarantine at the first entry place you set foot in Aus. Where do you intend to fly? hope it's a direct flight?
in my case i have to go to Brisbane however since i don't have a direct flight from my country i need to reach Melbourne fulfill the 14 days quarantine and then take a domestic flight to Brisbane :/

Keep an eye on the border permissions;

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, entry into Queensland is temporarily prohibited unless the travel is exempt under the Chief Health Officerís Border Restrictions Direction.

Entry into Queensland for essential travel is only permitted to persons who are eligible for an exemption and who have a Queensland Entry Pass.

A separate application is required for each individual, including children, and all travellers in your party must be eligible for an exemption.

https://www.qld.gov.au/border-pass

You would need to select "Queensland resident or travelling to take up permanent Queensland residency"

Expect another 14 days quarantine in Queensland..
Failure to comply with quarantine directions can result in penalties of up to $13,345 for individuals.

Thank you for sharing above. Yes i need to apply for a entry pass to enter QLD however since at the point i enter QLD from a different state after completing 14 days quarantine requirement from overseas travel, i can self-quarantine at my residence in QLD.

https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/gover...border-closing

'People moving to Queensland to take up permanent residence will be allowed to enter, but will also be required to self-quarantine for 14 days, which could be at the new residential address.'

Worst case scenario i foresee myself 28 days on quarantine on luxury accommodation hahaha
But out of jokes i hope that will not be the case coz the thought of it makes me go insane..

If you are travelling to Western Australia you will do your 14 days quarantine there, before traveling to Queensland.
Just a word of warning , I understand that it can be difficult to obtain a flight from Perth to Brisbane so be prepared to have to spend extra time in Perth.

irrespective from where you transit in Australia the 14 days quarantine rule will apply. Please read or call and inquire before you arrive. You can go through the below link. Make sure your tickets are booked accordingly and have obtained the QLD border pass too. Best if you can go through WA border restrictions to be on the safe side too.

https://www.health.gov.au/news/healt...for-travellers

"You will be quarantined in the city you arrive in for 14 days, even if you donít normally live there or plan to travel elsewhere in Australia from there."

Can you please update via this thread if any of the above mentioned are not true during your travel since you seems to be travelling soon to Aus.

I arrive in Perth on 25.4. and I know that I have to be quarantined in Perth for 14 days. So I have booked a flight from Perth to Brisbane on 11.5. Do i need to inform the West Australian immigration that i arrive on 25.4 in Perth? Do I need to apply for exemption?
