I did apply around March 10 2020 and received 5 months entry for 600 subclass on 24 April 2020 by submitting all documents and proof on enquiry form too for travel restrictions.

Partner Visa application was lodge on 8th July 2020 and no news yet but received the RFI regarding 40sp online form only on 3rd March 2020.

Sorry for asking so many questions but am really desperate and have been separated from my husband for 4 months.
What visas are currently being processed?
Because so far all I see is 820.. Are there any more kinds? What about 309 grants

The 820 is an onshore visa, and can be granted easily as there are no travel issues.

The 309 is an offshore visa and normally depend on the local processing office. However, some are still being granted, and actually, in April 2020, they seem faster than pre COVID.

In Apr 2020, 75% took up to 13 months.
In Dec 2019, 75% took up to 16 months.
In Nov 2019, 75% took up to 17 months.

Some of these couples are separated for quite a long time.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it'd be easier this way too. I have a tendency to go off course when I'm writing information, lol so I think it'd be the best option.

There is a plethora of 820s being granted and a lot of them in as low as 3-4 months. My wife and I have only met for 3 weeks in the past year. It is not fair and it is very hard but staying strong is very important.

It is a shame that DHA has stopped/reduced 309 grants while 309 holders are entitled (as a rule) to unite with their partners during the international travel ban. It is a laughable but a sad fact that Australian government is penny-pinching on 309s (who have paid dearly for their visas) while bearing huge costs on other initiatives which cannot be condoned.

It almost looks like the Australian government is hostile without compassion towards foreign partners of Australian citizens who have significantly contributed and contributing to the Australian society.

It is a very sad situation. I left Australia in June last year but still pay my phone bill, rego, insurance, post office locker etc. So basically have been paying for services without using them not knowing it would be this long and I would settle back in with ease. Oh well it's not in our hands.

Another thing that is funny is that they are still accepting new 309 files with new applicants thinking the time taken will be 13-17 months.
