Yeah I know it is quite short.
However I and my husband already move to Oz since last year.
So it doesn't matter for me.
You are right, the flight from Indonesia to Oz only takes 6 - 7 hours.

I know the feeling for waiting this visa is really anoying.
However I always communicate to the Case Officer when I am going to extend my visitor visa or going to Indonesia.
This way really usefull for me to find out the progress of the visa.

Be patient Panumanu. You'll be there too someday.
Never give up!

Hi Trapdor, congratulations!!!
I am in a similar situation: i'm italian my partner ozi and we applied from Auckland in June 2015.
We included everything but never heard from them yet. My concern is how to communicate with DBP.
Hw did your french partner call them?

Thank u for your answer. Just curious about the last entry date. So u got under two months before u have to go to Australia. I don't think thats long time the immigration gives you. But you are from Indonesia so its quite short flight. Compared to mine from Finland.

I lodged mine in June and thinking if I get mine granted in July next year and they give me time till September thats not long to get everything done over here to go... its just hard cause you never know I guess :)

My partner was awarded her visa 25th August (just under 13 months) and was given until 15th September to make first entry! This was due to her medical being due to expire on that date. We arranged a quick flight from Manila to validate visa this week. If travelling a long way suggest you delay your medical for as long as possible

Fingers crossed K&k...unfortunately nothing we can do but to wait it out.

If you can cycle like in a gym that really helps! Run and sweat it out!

Hey everybody!

I just got my visa granted yesterday! Applied December 16th, 2014 from Ottawa Ontario, online application. total wait time of 8.5 months! Pretty straight forward application though, no kids, de-facto relationship of >3 years.

Can't wait to finally see my boyfriend again!

ricavisa 09-01-2015 11:25 AM
