Quick background. I am an Australian citizen currently living in London. I have been with my girlfriend (British citizen) for almost 3 years now. We are looking to move over next year and have realised there may be a few options available with varying timelines.

I see we can apply for the offshore partner visa, which can take up to 13 months to be approved. However is it at all possible that she uses the working visa (she will be under 30 y/o still next year), and then apply for the onshore one there and get the bridging visa until the partner visa is approved? Has anyone done this?

Just weighing up my options before speaking with a immigration specialist/lawyer.

Any help or advice on what not to do would be incredible.

Thanks in advance!

Ricky.

I think it's possible for her Togo with the WHV then apply onshore

Am not living with my wife now
Not sure what you're asking.

Are you not living with your wife and you want to know where to upload that evidence?
I mean do I need to upload them when am in Nigeria while my wife in Australia??
Yes to upload you don't need to be in Australia.
So gather the documents that are applicable to you first. But don't press the I confirm I have submitted the documents button untill you do your medical. Instead reply to the case officer and inform them the challenge you are facing.

Last month it was -

75% of applications: 13 months
90% of applications: 17 months

I don't think it's a big difference tbh.

Especially when the numbers of visas being granted seems to be so low, compared to pre COVID.

There might be quite a number of applications that will be kept waiting longer until the visa grants go back to normal.

Obviously someone thought it was wise to submit a complete application. It's the old story , if EVERYTHING has been provided there is no need to put the application back on the pile and wait , a decision can be made on the spot!
