I'm Australian, and so our children automatically became Australian (Australian Citizenship by Decent). My entire family lives over there, and his entire family lives here (Toronto). We'll be relocating to Brisbane. As I said, we've been married for 14 years and have 2 children together, so I pray there are no hiccups or delays.

Good luck to you!!! I'm sure it'll be wonderful for your husband to be near his family again. And I'm so envious that you're done with Canadian winters!!!!

Just be patient it will happen!!! it seems that btwn 7-9mos is the total wait time...and YES no more Calgary winter, I'm actually from Vancouver and have only been here for 3yrs...so looking forward to moving back to a coastal city (Perth)

Cheers,

Hi everyone!

We applied for 309 online on 23 October. I am Turkish and my husband is Australian by birth. We got lots of help from this forum so I want to say a big THANK YOU to all the members! Now the waiting game begins.

Wonder if my application will be assessed by the embassy in Turkey or online applications are assessed by somewhere else?

Good luck to everyone!

All offshore applications get processed by their local embassy. In your case it will be Turkey.
