The few that are being granted are a little faster as shown by these numbers:

Jul 2020: 15-20 = 75% took up to 15 months and 10% took over 20 months.
Jun 2020: 16-22 = 75% took up to 16 months and 10% took over 22 Months.

But there are a lot being held back, presumably for granting after restrictions are relaxed.

I saw one 309 granted in June in just 3 months.

Congratulations. The Philippines have been experiencing some of the longest processing times recently.

Did you have circumstances that allowed a grant, or applied for travel exemption recently?

Jonny
I just looked at some recent 309s from the UK.

One took 10.4 months, and they had a 20 yr relationship with children.
Another took 11.4 months, and had a compelling reason to be granted an travel exemption, which appeared to trigger the 309 grant.
Both granted in June and applied in July/August 2019.

Another took just 3 months, but had also applied for a Covid exemption which may have sped up the grant.

The average time in Nov 2019 to Jan 2020, before COVID, was about 9 or 10 months, (between 6 and 11 months from the 16 that I saw) from the UK.

None. Visa applied is 309, no need for travel exemption.

And Thank you! Yes Philippines have experience the longest waiting time stretched the processing time.

I saw someone who was waiting for a 309, and they applied for a travel exemption for visitor visa while waiting, and their 309 was granted shortly after that application.
