Ok, this is just bad feedback. There are serious issues with processing beyond the quality and validity of a prepared application.

You have no idea what the actual process is. The quality and validity of an application would most certainly have a bearing on not only the length of time for a decision but also on the decision itself.

There issues here are more than just about the process. I would say its more political and financial

Fair points. Appreciate your take:-)

Have signed the petition. Needs a bit more tailwind eh. Looking forward to Julian hill on Monday. He seems to be the only one "gets" it, for politics or not.

How long have you been waiting for your spouse visa? Offshore /onshore?

The way 309 applicants are Effed around particularly from India, there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. Hence considering all options. More pressing needs for a mid 30s couple 🙂
You are approaching 12 months! I wouldn't risk re-submitting and wasting the time you have already waited. And you have till Feb 21 on the 600. That's great news! Don't beat yourself up, its hard to foresee these situations. You are very well positioned in my opinion! I'd wait it out. Good luck and hopefully there are some changes coming and the department may consider some flex with granting the the 309 onshore. I wouldn't hold my breath though, but people are working very hard to make some noise about all this.

Please sign and share the petition, https://www.aph.gov.au/petition_list?id=EN1677. It really needs a lot more signatures but is also doing well and already attracting media attention.

Julian Hill is tabling these issues in parliament on Monday at 11am.

Also there is a FB page https://www.facebook.com/groups/290314428824550/

I understand the 30's factor. We are even older and facing an almost impossible window of time. Please take care, hoping for a good outcome for you very soon.

Thanks wolverine! Yeah he is our strongest advocate at the moment.

We only recently submitted on the 7t of August, 309 offshore. We are approaching our 1st wedding anniversary. Its pretty difficult at the moment though as we usually travel to see each other every 2-3 months. We're also stuck with the processing centres being closed at the moment and Beirut office is effected as well. My husband is in Iran. This is not easy. Count your blessings that you are at least together for now. I hope it all works out for you.

Hi Sammy,

I'm sorry if my response is going to heart you, but why do we need to care about you and your wife waiting? your relationship with your wife is something exclusive to you and her and we don't know what is between the lines. there could be a million reason for you to tell your wife to stay overseas during the pandemic other than the normal health concern, maybe you don't like her anymore, maybe she doesn't like you anymore, maybe your pockets aren't full enough to afford a life anymore, or it could be that you can't do what men do.At the end of the day, this is your life and you know what is in it but that doesn't mean others have to wait and do same things you did just because you did it.Thank you,

I said BEYOND the quality and validity of an application. Please re-read my response.

I have been up to my elbows with this for several months and have been working closely with our lawyer. I would say I have a very reasonable understanding of the process and the effects and issues 309/100 applicants are currently facing. Thank you.

Iím 4.5 months pregnant and desperately want to get home with my Belgian husband to Australia to be with my family before the baby is born.
I think you're taking a lot of chances. Your approval is not late, since a wait up to 2 years is not considered late. Also, can you get into Australia? Have you read about the daily limit, and the trouble people are having getting into Australia?
