Applied 300 converted to 309 and waiting for

Hello Everyone,

Wish you a very happy new year!!

I applied for a visa 300 in August 2019 from France, with all the documents. I got married in February 2020, we received a message from the immigration department asking for more documents in March 2020 regarding the wedding arrangements. So we uploaded the documents for 309 and withdrawn 309, as we received our wedding certificate in March 2020.

Since March 2020 there is no update or message from the immigration department. As I can see waiting time in my account is for visa 300. So my visa is still not considered as 309 so nothing has been moved forward.

Is there any way to move it as it looks like it's in deadlock?

Kind Regards,
Jakhar

No, his original arrival date was in April 2021. I didn't think it was possible either based on the responses I read in this forum but we gave it a shot anyway. The wording did sort of seem like it was assessed on a case by case basis - "an officer has reviewed your circumstances". Definitely worth trying for anyone at risk.

Hi all,
I am new to the forum. My husband and I would like to take control of our partner visa file from the migrant agent representing us. We have filled, signed and emailed the withdrawal form to him for wanting to end the appointment. Have few questions, if any one can help answer please:

1. Should we email the processing office too that we have done and want all future communications to be sent to us?
2. How we can get our online files transferred to us so we can continue with it?
3. What if the agent won't give us the files? Emailed him but yet to hear back.

Appreciate any advice
Thanks in advance

Form 80 - Q24

Would need some help guys .. Form 80, question 24.
"Are you applying for a temporary visa?"

If I tick "Yes" on this question they're asking me to put details of proposed final departure from Australia .. I'm offshore and don't have anything booked so ..

I guess I'm missunderstanding the question so thought I should ask you guys, do I just tick "No" and go to next question? Isn't the 309 a temporary visa that leads to permanent?

I received our second S56 RFI today - is it commonplace to ask for items that have already been provided? Stat decs, proof of common residency etc.

For instance we do not have joint bank accounts but we provided statements that showed transfers between our accounts for a couple of years. I'm just going to update the application with the same transfer information from the last time we updated?

No, you are applying for a permanent visa (100) for which the first stage (309) is provisional.

I would suggest to create a new topic on this forum with a clear title. I am not sure how likely it is that someone will answer your particular question while it is lodged in the waiting room thread
